5 Ways to Relax

June 19, 2021

Imagine this – You’ve just gotten home from a long and stressful day of work and you’re looking to unwind and relax for the rest of the evening. Here are five ways to do it:

Stretch

Stretching is a very relaxing practice. It’s also a good way to release the tension you’ve built up in your muscles after a long, stressful day. If you spend 10-15 minutes a day stretching, you might be surprised at how much more relaxed you feel.

Listen to Some Music

Listening to music is another easy way for you to relax. Personally, I find listening to jazz very relaxing. Whatever genre fits your mood, music apps and subscription services have made it very easy to curate playlists and channels to fit the occasion.

Get a Massage

Having a good massage is another way you can relax. I know I’m not the only one who’s caught herself accidently snoring while face down on the massage table. Not only is a good massage relaxing, but it also releases a lot of the stress and tension that builds up in your muscles from stress and working out. Now, if you’re blessed enough to have a partner that loves to give a good massage, you never have to leave home to get one.

Meditate

Meditating is another great way for you to relax. While there’s no one right way to do it, meditating is best done in a quiet, private environment so that you can focus. If you’re not sure where to start, there are a number of meditation apps that can help you.

Sip Some Tea

Sipping some tea is another easy way you can relax. And no, I’m not talking about “gossip.” I’m referring to actual, make it in a mug, tea. Personally, I’m partial to herbal tea; I love to make a ritual of it. One of my favorite tea brands is Adjourn Teahouse. Take a look at the website and you’ll quickly see why.
