Affirmations for Difficult Seasons

September 20, 2021

Pretty, positive affirmations are great, but what about affirmations for difficult seasons? Many times we look for inspiration and affirmations outside of ourselves, but you should be your biggest cheerleader. You speak to yourself more than anyone else. What you say to yourself has more weight than anyone else. So, when you find yourself in a difficult season and need an uplifting word, here are some affirmations to say to yourself:

No Storm Lasts Forever. This Too Shall Pass.

Many times when you find yourself in a storm, it seems like it’ll never end. However, the truth of the matter is, no storm lasts forever. Every storm, no matter how fierce, has an end date. During those difficult seasons it’s important that you remind yourself that this too shall pass.

No storm lasts forever. This too shall pass.

It Won’t Always be Like This.

When you’ve had a vision for your life and you’ve worked very hard to get there, but you haven’t quite made it, that can be a hard place. Especially when you’ve been in that space for a while. So what do you do in that uncomfortable, in-between space? You remind yourself that it won’t always be like this. You have to remind yourself that where you’re at isn’t where you’re staying, so keep the faith. The only way you’ll stay stuck is if you throw in the towel too soon. Don’t give up – it won’t always be like this.

Your Best Days Are Ahead of You. Keep Going.

When you’re going through difficult seasons and every day seems as difficult as the last, you have to remind yourself that your best days are ahead of you. If you quit during the hard days, they’ll have been for nothing. You’ve already experienced the hardship so you might as well keep going so that you can enjoy the best of what’s to come.

I Refuse to Go Out Like This.

If you’re a competitive person like myself, you always want to win. There’s something about the way my competitive nature is set up that I just refuses to take that L. When you find yourself in a personal war, it’s ok to take a break, but refuse to take that L. You’re not meant to go out like that. Rest, recharge and do whatever else you need to do, but just don’t quit on yourself.

I Wasn’t Meant to Live a Miserable Life. Abundance and Joy Are My Birthright.

If you don’t ever believe anything else I tell you, please believe this – you weren’t meant to live a miserable life. God didn’t place you on this earth to be miserable. Abundance and joy are your birthright. If your present situation doesn’t include joy and abundance then you’ve not reached your final destination. Keep going – the best is definitely yet to come.

You’re Not Here to Make Others Comfortable

Sis, you’re not here to make others comfortable. That’s not your job. You don’t exist to make others feel better by stroking their egos and boosting their self-esteem. You’re not an emotional support dog or pack mule. That’s not why you were placed on this earth. Your...
