Like Butter Baby

Body butter is one of my favorite beauty products. It’s so creamy and nourishing for your skin – what’s not to love? Here are a few more things to love about body butter:

The Ingredients

For me, this is major. Most of the body butters I source are from small businesses that manufacture in small batches. They pride themselves on creating products that contain all natural ingredients, minus the harmful chemicals. With your skin being your largest organ and knowing that what you put on it goes directly into your blood stream, it’s nice to be able to read your skin care labels and recognize the ingredients, right?

Ultimate Ash Buster

If your skin tends to be on the drier side, year round, you probably already know the benefits of a good body butter. Body butter is thicker than most lotions and tends to moisturize the skin better. Don’t let the name fool you – butter might sound heavy and greasy, but it doesn’t have to be. Body butter can keep you well moisturized and still allow your skin to breathe.

It’s A Scent Thang

Another great things about body butters are the scents. Unlike a lot of scented lotions, scented body butters don’t tend to be overpowering – they’re strong enough to smell, without knocking you over the head, which is great if you want to wear them alone or layer with your perfume or scented oil.

Make It Last Forever

Ok, nothing lasts forever, but the benefits of body butters usually last much longer than lotions. A good body butter will moisturize your skin, all day, without the need to reapply.

Now that you’ve got the 411 on some of the great things about body butters, here are a few body butter brands you should definitely try:

Cream Blends

It’s the texture for me – I’ve never felt a creamier body butter. Rub it in your hands and this body butter melts instantly. They carry 12 scents, but the Mango is bae. Not sure which scent to try? They’ve got a sampler pack for that.

Natural Market

The lemon pound cake is my personal favorite; it smells so yummy you might be tempted to bite yourself (but please don’t).

Hunny Bunny Boutique

The LUX Body Cream, in Rose, is one of my favorites – it’s nice and floral, without being overpowering.

Bath Savvy

Bath Savvy is another great brand. Their butters are nice and creamy, without being greasy.
